Top: Girl Next Door (L) and My Little Secret (R) Bottom: Forget Me Not |
Last week at Ulta I spotted a new display of makeup from a line called Sula. There were eye shadows, lip glosses, blushes, and creaseless cream eye shadows, among many other things. Everything from the glosses to the blushes is priced at $8. The blushes intrigued me the most because the colors looked so pretty in the pan and for eight bucks, why not give them a shot. So this is what Sula has to say about their blushes:
Sula Beauty offers playfully pretty blushes in gorgeous on-trend colors that are long lasting, easy to blend and made with natural ingredients.
I really liked that these blushes are made with natural ingredients and it is also paraben and phthalate free. Currently, there are four colors in this line of blushes which are: My Little Secret, Forget Me Not, Girl Next Door, and Almost Famous.
I was not expecting much from these blushes because I have yet to find a drugstore blush that lasts on my oily skin. So I was really surprised to see that these blushes have great staying power-- about 10 hours! Also, they are not chalky (with the exception of My Little Secret, which is a tad chalky when swatching) and have great pigmentation. All of the shades have shimmer, but it doesn't translate very well when applied to the cheeks which I actually prefer. It has enough shimmer to look glowy but not disco-ball esque. I definitely recommend these blushes because they are very good quality for the price.
Color Descriptions:
My Little Secret: Light milky pink with very slight silver shimmer
Forget Me Not: Light apricot peach with slight peachy-golden shimmer
Girl Next Door: Vibrant slightly coral-pink with prominent silver shimmer
Almost Famous: Dark pink, slightly fuchsia with slight silver shimmer
Almost Famous: Dark pink, slightly fuchsia with slight silver shimmer

I just bought all four of the blushes yesterday and can't believe how pigmented they are. Amazing. So far, I love Sula, and I am a makeup snob and usually don't buy from the drugstore side of ULTA.
ReplyDeleteI very much agree with you! Usually, drugstore blushes do not last very long on my skin and are not very pigmented, but these are the exception. Glad you are enjoying them!
